A.J. LeBlanc Heating provides annual boiler tune-ups across Southern NH. Family-owned since 1928, we service gas, oil, and propane boilers of all makes and models. New Hampshire-licensed fuel gas fitters handle natural-gas and propane equipment, and our technicians are factory-trained and certified on Carlin, Beckett, and Riello oil burners.
What's Included in a Boiler Tune-Up
Boilers are reliable, but they still need regular attention. A.J. LeBlanc Heating inspects and tests the components that apply to the boiler and service procedure, then gives you a written report of what we find.
- Inspect and clean burner assembly
- Inspect the combustion chamber and clean it when the equipment and condition call for it
- Check flue and venting for proper draft
- Inspect heat exchanger for leaks or corrosion
- Test pressure relief valve and expansion tank
- Check zone valves and circulator pump operation
- Test aquastat and safety controls
- Bleed radiators and check system pressure
- Check for leaks at fittings and connections
- Test carbon monoxide and combustion efficiency

Prevent Leaks & Corrosion
Corrosion or a small leak can worsen if it goes unnoticed. Finding it during maintenance may limit damage and give you time to plan the repair.
Check System Pressure
Correct system pressure supports circulation and proper expansion-tank and relief-valve operation. We check the pressure and investigate readings outside the expected range.
Combustion Efficiency
A boiler burning at improper air-fuel ratios wastes fuel and shortens equipment life. We measure combustion efficiency and adjust as needed.
Safety Controls
Relief valves, aquastats, low-water cutoffs, and other controls protect the boiler and home. We inspect and test the applicable safety controls according to the equipment and service procedure.

Once a year, ideally before the heating season starts. Oil boilers especially benefit from pre-season service since they require nozzle and filter changes in addition to standard cleaning.
