What We Diagnose and Repair
If your ductless system is doing any of these, give us a call. Most of it is a routine fix for our technicians.
Not Heating or Not Cooling
The unit runs but the air is not hot or cold. Usually a refrigerant issue, a dirty coil, a bad control board, or a sensor fault. We find the real cause instead of just topping off refrigerant.
Leaking Water Indoors
Water dripping from an indoor head almost always means a clogged condensate drain or a backed-up drain pan. We clear it and fix why it clogged in the first place.
Ice or Frost on the Unit
A frozen indoor or outdoor coil points to low refrigerant, restricted airflow, or a defrost fault. Running a frosted-up system can damage the compressor, so this one should not wait.
Blinking Light or Error Code
A flashing light means the unit detected a fault and protected itself. We read the code, confirm the actual cause, and repair it, whatever the brand.
Weak Airflow or Bad Smell
A musty odor or weak airflow usually means dirty filters, a fouled blower wheel, or mold in the coil. A deep cleaning restores both the airflow and the air quality.
Noises or Won't Turn On
Rattling, buzzing, clicking, or a system that is completely dead. Could be a fan motor, control board, contactor, or power supply. We track it down and quote the fix.
Reading Your Mini Split Error Code
A flashing light or code tells us which part of the system the unit is worried about. On many systems it shows as a blink pattern on the indoor unit; on others it appears right on the remote's display, sometimes after you press the check or diagnostic button. The exact format depends on the brand. Snap a photo or read us whatever you see, and we will confirm the real cause on site before we quote a repair.
- Mitsubishi: indoor-unit LED blink patterns, plus P and E codes on the remote or display
- Daikin: U communication codes such as U4, plus A and E system codes
- Fujitsu: Operation and Timer LED flash counts that map to a two-digit code
- LG: CH codes such as CH 05 for communication or CH 10 for the indoor fan

How Mini Split Repair Works
Call or Request Service
Tell us the brand, the symptom, and your town. We schedule a visit and, for no-heat or no-cool situations, we move you up the list.
Hands-On Diagnosis
An experienced technician inspects the indoor and outdoor units, reads any error codes, checks refrigerant and electrical, and pinpoints the real cause.
Upfront Price, Then We Fix It
You get the price before any work starts. Most common repairs are handled on the spot. Parts that need ordering, we order and schedule promptly.
Tested and Verified
We confirm the system is heating or cooling correctly, draining properly, and running quietly before we leave, so you're not calling us back for the same problem.
Maintenance Keeps Repairs Away
Most mini split breakdowns we see trace back to dirty coils and clogged drains. Because ductless units pull air straight across the coil, they collect dust, pet hair, and pollen faster than a ducted system. An annual cleaning protects efficiency, prevents the drain clogs and musty smells that come with neglect, and catches small issues early. One thing we do not do is gauge a healthy system. A mini split is critically charged, so we only connect refrigerant gauges when performance points to an actual problem, never as a yearly routine that can bleed off a charge that is already correct.
- Deep-clean indoor coils, blower wheels, and filters
- Flush and clear the condensate drain line
- Check and tighten electrical connections
- Inspect the outdoor unit and clear debris
- Catch worn parts before they fail in a heat wave or cold snap
Repair or Replace?
We are a repair-first company. If fixing your system is the smart move, that is what we will tell you. But there is a point where putting money into an aging unit stops making sense.
Usually Worth Repairing
Systems under roughly eight to ten years old, a single failed part, a drain or sensor issue, or anything still under manufacturer warranty. A targeted repair gets you years more service for a fraction of replacement cost.
Worth Considering Replacement
Older systems with a major failure like a compressor, repeated breakdowns, or an obsolete refrigerant. When the math favors a new system, we show you the numbers and the rebates that apply.

Mini Split Repair FAQ
How much does mini split repair cost in NH?
There is no diagnostic fee, no trip fee, and no surcharges. Before any work begins we give you a repair estimate, not a flat rate, so you know what to expect and approve it up front. We bill our labor at a one-hour minimum and then in fifteen-minute increments after that, based on the actual time the repair takes. Common fixes like a clogged condensate drain, a dirty coil, or a faulty sensor are minor. A refrigerant leak or a failed compressor costs more. Most mini split repairs still cost far less than a replacement, and we never start a repair without your approval.
Why is my mini split not heating or cooling?
The most common causes are a dirty filter or coil restricting airflow, low refrigerant from a leak, a bad control board or fan motor, a frozen indoor or outdoor coil, or a faulty sensor. Sometimes it is as simple as the wrong mode or a remote setting. Our technicians diagnose the exact cause and fix it, rather than guessing.
Do you repair mini splits you did not install?
Yes. We service and repair the major ductless brands, including Mitsubishi, Daikin, Fujitsu, LG, Bosch, Samsung, Gree, Mr. Cool, Senville, and more, whether or not we installed the system. Many of our service customers came to us after another company stopped answering the phone.
What does a blinking light or error code on my mini split mean?
A blinking light or flashing code means the unit detected a fault and shut down or limited itself to protect the system. The code points to the general area, such as a sensor, communication error, refrigerant issue, or fan fault, and the meaning varies by brand. Our technicians read the code, confirm the actual cause, and repair it.
My mini split is leaking water inside. What is wrong?
Water dripping from an indoor head is most often a clogged condensate drain line or a dirty drain pan backing up. It can also be caused by a frozen coil melting, or by a drain line that is not sloped to drain properly. We clear the drain, find why it clogged, and correct the underlying cause so it does not come back.
How often should a mini split be serviced?
Once a year for each indoor head and the outdoor unit. Ductless systems pull air directly across the coil, so the filters and coils load up with dust, pet hair, and pollen faster than a ducted system. An annual cleaning keeps efficiency up, prevents drain clogs and odors, and catches small problems before they become breakdowns. Ask us about annual maintenance.
Should I repair or replace my mini split?
It depends on the age of the system and the cost of the repair. A unit under roughly eight to ten years old is almost always worth repairing. Older systems, especially with a major component failure like a compressor, are often better replaced. We give you an honest recommendation and the numbers for both, with no pressure either way. If replacement makes sense, see our mini split installation page.
