How do I know what filtration system I need?
We start with your water source, test results, and concerns. We test city water as well as private well water. The right system may address sediment, chlorine taste and odor, iron, or other identified issues. We match the equipment to the results and your household use.
What is the difference between a sediment filter and a carbon filter?
A sediment filter captures particles such as sand, silt, and rust. Carbon filtration is commonly used for chlorine taste and odor. Reductions of chloramines or other chemicals depend on the particular media and system. Many installations combine sediment and carbon stages for different jobs.
How often do filter cartridges need to be replaced?
Replacement frequency depends on your water quality and usage. Sediment filters typically last 3 to 6 months. Carbon filters last 6 to 12 months. We can set you up with a maintenance schedule.
Will a whole-house filter reduce my water pressure?
