Thousands of Ductless Systems Installed Across Southern NH
We have been installing ductless mini splits in Southern NH for decades. That experience shows in how we size systems, route line sets, and position indoor units for maximum comfort and minimum visual impact. A mini split is only as good as the installation behind it.
Mini splits work especially well in boiler-heated homes without ductwork, room additions, and older houses where new ducts are not practical. They provide efficient, zone-controlled heating and cooling without requiring a major renovation.
Who Mini Splits Are Right For
Homes With Oil or Propane Heat
If you heat with oil or propane and have no ductwork, a mini split can add heating and cooling without installing a full duct system. It may reduce oil or propane use, while actual savings depend on electric rates, fuel prices, weather, system sizing, and how the equipment is operated.
Zone-by-Zone Temperature Control
Each indoor unit operates independently. Bedrooms, living areas, and home offices can each be set to a different temperature. No more fighting over the thermostat.
Additions and Hard-to-Reach Spaces
Finished basements, sunrooms, garage apartments, and home additions that your existing system cannot reach. A mini split is the clean solution that does not require touching existing ductwork.
Cold-Climate Heating Down to -13°F
Cold-climate models from Mitsubishi, Daikin, LG, and Bosch are built for New Hampshire winters. Select systems can provide heat at -13°F or below.
Mini Split Systems We Install
Single-Zone Mini Splits
One outdoor unit paired with one indoor wall unit. The most common setup for adding heating and cooling to a room, garage apartment, finished basement, or a home that needs one primary comfort system. Clean, quiet, and efficient.
- One outdoor condenser, one indoor wall unit
- Most installations completed in one day
- Requires only a small hole through the wall
- Heating and cooling in one system
- Wi-Fi control available on most models
Multi-Zone Mini Splits
One outdoor unit connected to two, three, or four indoor units throughout the home. Each zone is controlled independently. The right solution when you want to condition multiple rooms or floors without running new ductwork through the whole house.
- One outdoor unit, up to 4 indoor zones
- Each zone has its own thermostat control
- Multiple indoor zones connected to one outdoor unit
- Ideal for whole-home ductless heating and cooling
- Works alongside existing oil or gas heat as a hybrid setup

Mini Split FAQ
How much does mini split installation cost in NH?
A single-zone ductless mini split installation in Southern NH typically runs $5,525 to $7,000 fully installed, depending on brand, BTU size, and how complex the installation is. Multi-zone systems cost more. NHSaves rebates and the New England Heat Pump Accelerator can meaningfully reduce your net cost. We provide free written estimates with all costs included upfront so there are no surprises.
Can a mini split heat my home through a New Hampshire winter?
Select cold-climate mini splits can provide heat at -13 degrees F or below. Some homeowners use them as primary heat, while others keep an existing system as backup. We help you choose the setup that fits your home and comfort goals.
Do I need ductwork for a mini split?
No. A mini split connects the outdoor unit to one or more indoor units through a small wall opening for the refrigerant lines, electrical wiring, and condensate drain. No ductwork is required. This makes mini splits a practical option for homes with boilers, older homes without existing ducts, additions, and individual rooms that need better comfort.
What is the difference between a mini split and a heat pump?
A mini split is a type of heat pump that does not use ductwork. One outdoor unit connects to one or more indoor units, while a central heat pump distributes air through ducts. Mini splits provide room-by-room zoning and avoid losses from ductwork.
Are there rebates for mini split installation in NH?
For 2026, a qualifying cold-climate mini split replacing oil, natural gas, or propane heat may receive $250/ton through NHSaves. A qualifying project replacing working electric-resistance heat may receive $2,000/ton after required pre-verification. The New England Heat Pump Accelerator may add $650 per eligible outdoor unit for qualifying equipment installed in an existing home. Eligibility depends on the utility, equipment, installation date, verification, and current program funding.
How long does mini split installation take?
Most single-zone installations are completed in one day. Multi-zone systems with three or four indoor units typically take two days. When a permit or inspection is required, we coordinate it as part of the installation.
Do you service mini splits you didn't install?
Yes. We service Mitsubishi, Fujitsu, Daikin, LG, Samsung, Gree, Bosch, and other major brands, whether or not we installed the system. Call 603-623-0412 to schedule mini split repair, service, or maintenance.
Reviews From Southern NH Homeowners
Excellent techs polite, friendly and everything was cleaned at the end of each day. Air conditioning is working great can't wait to see how they do at the start of the heating season.
Chester and Judy SzugdaA/C Installation customerSo glad that we got a new a/c with A.J. LeBlanc Heating, especially this summer - best it has ever worked.
Lisa MoreyA/C Installation customerAfter having A.J. LeBlanc Heating do an installation of the AC mini-splits about a year and a half ago, I decided to check with them first about replacing my boiler which was 30 years old. I requested the same salesman and was glad to have the continuity of someone familiar with my needs. The technicians who came to do the boiler installation were great - one was the same who had been here with the mini-split installation, so I felt comfortable that the job would be done perfectly and I was not disappointed. I would recommend A.J. LeBlanc Heating for service anytime!
