NH Energy Efficiency Financing: NHSaves and Utility Options
New Hampshire homeowners participating in NHSaves Home Energy Performance may have financing options for approved weatherization and related efficiency work. As of July 2026, NHSaves publishes a 2 percent APR unsecured loan through participating banks and credit unions. Loans range from $1,000 to $15,000, with terms based on the loan amount, lender approval, available funds, and program eligibility.
Current program sources: NHSaves financing, NHEC energy savings, and NH DOE HEAR.
Current NHSaves and utility financing
NHSaves also tells electric-utility customers seeking less than $2,000 to ask their utility about on-bill financing. New Hampshire Electric Cooperative separately advertises 0 percent on-bill financing for eligible improvements. Because these programs can change, confirm the current terms with NHSaves, the customer's utility, and the lender before using them in a project budget.
A.J. LeBlanc Heating can explain heating, cooling, and water-heating options that may fit the project. We apply qualifying point-of-sale rebates and assist with other rebate steps. The utility or lender makes the final financing and program-eligibility decision.
NHSaves heat pump rebates for 2026
NHSaves rebates on qualifying air-source heat pumps remain active in 2026:
- Standard rebate on qualifying air-source heat pumps; see NHSaves for current per-ton amounts
- An enhanced rebate when the heat pump replaces electric resistance heat; see NHSaves for current rates and eligibility dates
We verify equipment eligibility and apply point-of-sale rebates at the time of purchase, and help you file the rest.
New Hampshire Electric Cooperative financing
New Hampshire Electric Cooperative currently advertises 0 percent on-bill financing for eligible improvements, subject to its program rules and available funds. Confirm the current eligibility and limits directly with NHEC before beginning work.
Federal Home Electrification and Appliance Rebates
Federal Home Electrification and Appliance Rebates, commonly called HEAR, are separate from NHSaves. NH DOE anticipates a mid-summer 2026 launch, but no consumer application is open and funding is not yet available to homeowners. Check the current NH DOE program page before planning a project around this funding.
Financing through A.J. LeBlanc Heating
We also offer dealer financing on qualifying installations, which can fit projects or timelines the utility loans do not cover. Ask for current terms when you request an estimate.
A note on federal tax credits
The federal 25C Energy Efficient Home Improvement Credit and the 25D Residential Clean Energy Credit both ended for installations placed in service after December 31, 2025. Neither is available for new 2026 installations. The state and utility programs above are the active levers this year; see our rebates page for what currently applies.
Talk through your options
If you are planning a heating, cooling, water-heating, or weatherization project, contact A.J. LeBlanc Heating or call 603-623-0412. We will review current rebate and financing options that may fit the work, then point you to the utility or lender for final eligibility and approval.
